The ideal look for women in Southeast Asia is a slim waist, long legs, fair skin, small nose and face, and with a well proportioned chest and glutes. Who has the power to set these kinds of expectations? Well “culture, race, media and power all intersect to create an idea of “beauty” admired by a collective, rather than an individual” (Le, 2014).
